General Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse any work or vehicle for any reason.

Warranty
We offer warranty on all films which covers any bubbling, peeling or color fading. The length of the warranty depends on the type of film chosen, such as carbon film or ceramic film. The film we use is called “America Film” which offers 99% UV Protection and glare reduction - heat reduction is applicable to the ceramic film. Additionally, the film we use does not include any dye which means it does not turn purple, fade, or even bubble after large periods of time.

Window Film Shades & Colors
The shade and color of the window film is selected solely by you, the customer, and is installed at your request. The back windshield and rear two doors of your vehicle can be tinted any percentage, even as low as 5% although the two front windows need to be 70% by California law. We are not liable and do not hold any responsibility for legal implications. We, Ali Window Tinting, are not responsible for any buyers remorse nor the customers choice of shade and color of the window film. If the customer confirms a certain shade/color and makes a a last-minute decision to change it, an extra fee may be applied if the film has already been hand/computer cut.

Contamination
Contamination is unavoidable but we do our best during the installation process. A minor amount of contamination is completely normal although an excessive amount is not acceptable. With every install, there will be minimal contamination due to air quality and the Earth we live in. We do not guarantee that the film will come out "perfect" regarding contamination, but we do guarantee that we will apply the film with the best of our abilities and with the condition of which the vehicle was received. We highly recommend washing your vehicle before your scheduled appointment to reduce chances of contamination and to receive the best results. Window Condition
Any chips or scratches on the vehicles windows will be more visible when the film is applied. We are not responsible for broken windows if there was prior damage on the window before the installation. We are also not responsible for the condition of which the vehicle was prior to the service, the vehicles windows included. Additionally, we are not responsible for gaskets being dirty or damaged - if your vehicles gaskets are dirty, the film could be scratched, chipped, or damaged as a result and we would not be held liable.

Dot Matrix & Frits
The black enamel band, otherwise known as the dot matrix, is baked onto the edges of the window to provide a surface that allows the adhesive bond to the glass - it allows the window to stay in place during motion. Without these dots, the glass could become loose and even slide out of its frame. For some back windshields and corner windows, there will be water trapped throughout the dot matrix on the edges of the window which creates a certain look that is not defective. Vehicles can differ in the width of the dot matrix which is why some vehicles receive this result and some do not.  With that information stated, at the customers request and an extra fee, we are able to sand down the frits/dot matrix although this could result in scratches on your physical window which we would not be liable for. Please speak with us, Ali Window Tinting, if this result of water trapped within the dot matrix is something you'd like to avoid and we will explain different options and their results.

Mobile Services
If you chose to do a mobile service with us, Ali Window Tinting, we require an accessible outlet and a clear working space such as a garage, parking space, or even a driveway - anything but the street since it could create a hazard. Regarding mobile services, a higher chance of contamination could be found on the film since the service will most likely be done outside in the open. If a garage is provided or an enclosed space, there will most likely be a better result. We also do charge an extra commute fee for mobile services depending on the location, this fee is based on mileage and time from our location in North Hollywood.

 

Window Film Removal

If you’d like to remove your old window film and apply a new layer of film, we like to advise our customers that there are some films that are more difficult to remove due to the quality and/or age of the film as well as the amount of glue that is left on the windows, which will then need to be removed by blade instead of by steamer. Specifically for the back windshield, if the blade is needed, the defrosters will not work in the future and some of the defroster lines will be partly orange or partly black, depending on how severely they were damaged.

Results After the Service
A soap and water solution is used to apply the window film which needs time to correctly dry after it has been applied. Immediately after your service, you may notice smudges or finger marks from when we, Ali Window Tinting, worked on your vehicle. When we finish each vehicle, we do a quality check which includes cleaning the windows with minimal pressure since this could cause the film to move if the water has not dried completely - which is why you may find smudges or finger marks on the windows! Once the film has dried to a certain extent, you are able to more thoroughly clean the windows. Furthermore, vehicle film is molded and shaped on the outside of the window - soap and water solution is also used in this step of the process and water will most likely drip onto the outside body of the car causing water streaks. To protect your vehicles paint, we leave the water marks instead of wiping them to refrain from scratching the vehicle. Vehicle Window Tint Aftercare
Three to four days after the service, you are asked to please not roll any windows down and we will place stickers on your door panel where the windows up/down button is. If the windows are rolled down before this time period, we do charge an extra fee to replace the window film if it has been damaged and peeled. If the front/back windshield has been serviced by us, we recommend you not use the heater or your defrosters for 3-4 days since this could also damage the window film - AC is perfectly fine to use. You are able to wash and dry your vehicle from the inside and outside although refrain from washing and drying the windows from the inside for a week to allow the film to dry correctly. In the long run, the best way to take care of your window film is to keep it out of direct sunlight for long periods of time and store your vehicle in a garage. If you decide to clean your windows from the inside, please do not use a window cleaner that contains ammonia since it could create discoloration throughout the film.
